1. Purpose

These terms of sale govern bookings made on the Maison Sven website for the accommodation offered in Amiens.

Any booking implies full acceptance of these terms.

2. Booking

A booking becomes final once:

  • the booking has been confirmed;
  • payment has been made as set out when booking;
  • the confirmation email has been received.

Maison Sven reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if these terms are not respected or if the guest provides clearly false information.

3. Rates

Prices are shown in euros (€). They include the services stated at the time of booking. Any applicable taxes are shown before the booking is confirmed.

4. Payment

Payments are fully secure and made through the site’s payment partners. Maison Sven never stores guests’ card details.

5. Security deposit

As set out at the time of booking, a security deposit or a card pre-authorisation may be requested before arrival.

In the event of damage, breach of the house rules or extra costs caused by the guest, all or part of this amount may be kept, under the conditions given before the stay.

6. Check-in and check-out

Unless stated otherwise:

  • L’Écrin des Waides: check-in from 3pm, check-out by 11am
  • L’Ô de Jules: check-in from 4pm, check-out by 11am

Early check-in or late check-out may be offered, subject to availability. Any special request must be made before the stay and agreed in advance.

7. Use of the premises

The maximum number of guests stated at the time of booking must be respected. Parties, events and unauthorised gatherings are not allowed.

Guests agree to use the premises peacefully and to respect the neighbours and the house rules.

8. Use of the spa (L’Ô de Jules)

The spa is available to guests during their stay. The instructions in the guest guide must be followed. Guests use the spa entirely at their own risk.

9. Damage

Any damage, loss or deterioration found in the accommodation or to its equipment may be charged at the cost of repair or replacement.

10. Liability

Maison Sven cannot be held liable for the loss, theft or damage of guests’ personal belongings during their stay. Guests remain responsible for their use of the equipment provided.

11. Cancellation

The cancellation terms that apply are those shown during the booking process. Any refund depends on the cancellation policy chosen at the time of booking.

12. No right of withdrawal

Under article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, accommodation services provided on a set date or for a set period carry no right of withdrawal.

13. Force majeure

Maison Sven cannot be held liable for failing to meet all or part of its obligations when this results from force majeure as defined by French case law.

14. Consumer mediation

Under articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge to settle a dispute amicably. The details of the competent mediator are available on request.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms of sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution before taking any legal action. Failing an amicable agreement, the French courts alone have jurisdiction.
